How to Invest

There are a variety of ways to invest in Witan Investment Trust plc. Witan’s shares can be traded through any UK stockbroker and most share dealing services, including online platforms that offer investment trusts. Advisers who wish to purchase Witan for their clients can also do so via online platforms and Witan is available for investment through two savings schemes managed by Witan Investment Services – Witan Wisdom and Jump Savings. Before you make any investment, you need to understand your own personal tolerance to risk as well as the level of risk of the investments you are considering. Taking on some risk is the price of achieving returns; therefore, if you want to make money, you can’t eliminate risk. As with any investment, past performance is not a guide to future performance and please remember that the value of an investment and the income from it can fall as well as rise as a result of currency and market fluctuations, and you may not get back the amount originally invested.

FCA Fraud warning

Share fraud includes scams where investors are called out of the blue and offered shares that often turn out to be worthless or non-existent, or an inflated price for shares they own.  These calls come from fraudsters operating in 'boiler rooms' that are mostly based abroad.  While high profits are promised, those who buy or sell shares in this way usually lose their money.

Click below to find out more about these scams and how you can protect yourself and check against an investment that you have been offered, using the FCA Scam Smart Warning List.  Please note that this list may not be definitive.
